Busy weekend

This weekend was busy for us. We went to the movie The Spy Next Door with our neighbors the Amiller's on Saturday. Then we had the Aumiller's watch Lilli and Dakota and then then David, James, and I drove to Deer Park to help David's cousins clean out and prepar for the year sale of his aunt's estate.

We found some of her old furniture and other things we are keeping. There is still so much to do in her old house.

I had my ultrasound to check the the heart and facial profile picture that they could not get last time in October.  "Baby Boy Marshall coming April 16, 2010" Flickr set

A New Year

I had great plans for the kids brithday, but James was grounded this year for something that we found out had happened before Christmas. And poor Lilli I got the stomach flu and could not make her cupcakes.

It turns out I was sick for two days and I ended up having to go to the Woman's Clinic for two bags of fluids and medication to settle my stomach.

Other then that everyone but Lilli got sick this time.

Not much else earth shattering has changed our new year.

It was so nice to have David home this year and so nice that he got to be on a off-on schedule.

Our Congratulations to our dear Friends on the birth of their new daughter Sophia Short. She was born on James birthday.

Christmas 2009

We had a great Christmas this year. We had a very nice home Christmas this year. After the kids open thier presents we relaxed for a while at home. Then we walked over to the Aumiller's where the kids had some gifts. The Aumiller's got the new baby a Sit and Stand stroller and car seat. We let the kids play and enjoyed a lunch of ham and veggies.

After that we went home and got freshen up and the we enjoyed a very nice family dinner with our friends the Short's. Colby's parents were there as well as one of the single soldiers.

So by the time we got home it was the kids bedtime. The kids got up the next morning to enjoy their new toys, candy and movies.

I was nice to be home together. While we missed our family back home. We got to enjoy each other in a new way.

Our "Charlie Brown" Christmas tree

This is our first Christmas tree. I bought it several years for $10 dollars. David says it is scraggly. But after a little TLC it looks a lot better.

I am Thankful....

Another year is coming to a close and we have so much to be thankful for this year. We all have been healthy. We have a safe and uneventful move to Texas. So far Baby #4 Marshall is healthy and growing. We are going to spend our first quiet Thanksgiving together since David and I got married. We send our love to all our family and friends across the miles.

A Week After

Today is Thursday November 12, 2009. It has been a week since the shootings took place here on Fort Hood. As most of you know our family was safe and out of harm's way. Yet things will forever be changed. My children's lives have returned to normal.

Our prayers go to the many families that were changed last Thursday.

Sirens

We have sirens blaring here on post. They are telling us to stay indoors lock our doors and stay away from the windows. There has been a shooting main post. The school are locked down and my children are home they had a early dismissal. David is not on post today. Several have been killed already many other are wounded. Lilli and Dakota are scared of the sirens. James is concerned for our friend "Shortdawg".

Today is marked in Fort Hood and in Texas history. November 5, 2009, The Fort Hood Massacre.

New Idea

I have decided to start something new. Each Thursday I am going to post a blog. I may have little to say or a lot to say but we shall see what comes about in my family blog.

Christmas 2008

The kids and I had a quiet Christmas this year. It was not big and the kids did not want to put up a tree this year. (Daddy decorates the tree better then I do. They don't realize I am the one that decorates the tree.)

Thanksgiving

We drove to North Carolinia/Virginia tdown home this year. We drove to the Blue Ridge Mountian area and spent the weekend with Mindy's family. We had a great visit. It reminds me so much of how life is back home in Arkansas. Normal down home people.

MRI at 9:15 pm

Well last night I went to WRAMC and had my MRI done on my right knee. It will be a few days before I can get the results back, but I will keep everyone posted.

They have one machine down so the are booking appointment 24/7. i have never in my life had a 2115 (9:15 pm) appointment in my life. leave it to the military to come up with that.

A bottle thief.

While I was babysitting Dakota was horrible about stealing Gabby's bottle. The girls had just left and I walked into the living room and Dakota had planted himself in the baby's bouncer and started drinking her bottle. I had to snap a picture it was just to funny. He had this look "What wrong? She let it behind."

This is a test post from flickr, a fancy photo sharing thing. I was wondering how it worked. It was really easy.

Almost Fall and time for Halloween costumes.

It is almost fall. The leaves are just starting to turn. The kids are having to were sweaters or jackets in the morning. Fall is the time of year natures last show before the bleakness of winter.

James thinks he wants to be a Knight, Lilli is going to be a cat, and Dakota is going to be a Lion. I am going to be a chauffeur.
